Who's got the best cell phone plan in TO??

My contract with Rogers is going to expire next month and I think I want to switch. If you live in TO and love your mobile service please leave a comment as to who your carrier is and why you like 'em so much.

sorry, hon -- i've got rogers and wouldn't switch. i don't know if it's different now, but their coverage (esp in the US) can't be beat.

there are newer carriers that might be better, but i rarely have a problem with my rogers, so i stick.

I was wondering why you want to switch? I have Bell, and after some investigating (to see if switching was worth it) we realized that our old contract is the best we can get. And if we leave, it's gone. I don't *love* them, but I don't hate them either.

One thing I liked about Rogers is their phones are nicer and they can take sim cards--no programing in all your numbers again.

My whole thing on this is that I like my cell, but the whole thing is designed to cost me too much $$$.

I think Rogers is the best, but - call them and tell them you're thinking of switching, and ask them what they can do for you. Apparently they have "retention plans" that they don't advertise, but they will offer you if you threaten to leave. We did this recently and got a much better plan that we had previously.

Rogers offers the nicest hardware plus the SIM card thing can't be beat. I've got Telus but the only reason I stick with them is that I have a legacy contract from 8 years ago which is an unbelievably good deal.

Wow! An overwhelming response to Rogers. Maybe it's my phone that's causing me all the problems. It is the cheapest, least fancy phone that has ever been made. Maybe I'll just upgrade that.

When I started using cell phones years ago I first had Telus. I didn't like them so I switched to Bell. I couldn't stand Bell so I moved to Rogers when my contract with Bell was over. I've been with Rogers 4.5 years now and I am fine with the service. It works great when I go to the US and I can use the phone in the elevator, garage, etc. With Bell my phone didn't even work in the mall where I was working at the time.

I guess we're staying with Rogers... Thanks for all the input, everybody!
