It's not completely finished, I know. But three of the four appliances are now installed and working IN the kitchen. The top cabinets are actually installed. Lighting is no longer provided by a 500 watt work lamp. Which allowed us to do something we haven't done in a while.
We cooked our first meal in over 11 weeks.
And there was great rejoicing.

It's frickin' gorgeous. Nice work.
11 weeks with no kitchen. I'm now reconsidering the reno...
Yay!!!! I am so happy for you!
Schweeeeeet! Congratulations on your first meal. Looks gorgeous!
AHH!! Beth and I are here at the exact same moment~ what are the chances?!
Tee-hee - I was about to say something corny like "jinx" to Lorena, but then my Voldemort boss came by. Damn job.
And now, looking at my comment, I meant your kitchen looks gorgeous...not your first meal. Misplaced modifiers, indeed...
What was on the menu?
Thanks, everybody!
As you can tell, there is still some detail work that needs to be done. Like window frames and cabinet doors. *ahem* But it's usable! AND I'M SO HAPPY!
Lorena & Betharoopie - U 2 are hilarious. Seriously. I can see it's going to be dangerous at Rhinebeck.
LadyLungDoc - The menu was incredibly simply but I'll make it sound all fancy. Sautéed chicken breast (marinated in a raspberry balsamic vinaigrette), garlic spinach and broth infused jasmine rice. It tasted like heaven. Mostly because it didn't come out of a take-out box.
