Just the facts... honestly!

Here in The States we're in a froth over the upcoming presidential election. And as the election gets closer the rhetoric gets louder the speeches, ads and spin inevitably get nastier. If you're undecided (or just curious) and you want to cut through the bullshit then I recommend two sites - and it's sister site, The Fact Check Wire. From their mission statement:
We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding.
These sites have been invaluable to me, mostly in debunking a certain political party's dubious claims. It's also cleared up some of the mud the other side has been throwing too. (I'm never a completely decided voter until I'm in that voting booth.)

No matter what side you support, the poo slinging is only going to get worse and it doesn't hurt to be truly informed.
